Turtons Creek ReserveTurtons Creek Reserve - is a quite secluded area located between Foster and Mirboo North on the Turtons Creek Road. Here you'll find a delightful little waterfall and a small creek set amongst a spectacular forest of giant Eucalypts, Mountain Ash and Blackwood trees, Wattles and ferns. You'll also find weeds and blackberries throughout the native bush land. Fishing And Camping - There are several camping areas in the reserve but visitors are advised to bring their own water supplies as no facilities are provided. It gets quite wet in winter but I've heard that the fishing is very good with the streams of the southern Strzelecki's offering an abundance of trout, blackfish and eel (according to the Parks Victoria Website).
What Is The Area Really Like? - Well, as a photographer, I find beauty every where I go. If you don't mind trvelling on some dirt roads and aren't expecting pristine conditions, this out of the way place might be just for you. Pictures And Photographs Of Turtons Creek Reserve - The photographs below are available for you to enjoy...and use under a special license if you wish.
