The Rail Trail is situated on the old disused railway line that has been put to good use by making it a walking/riding trail suitable for all ages to use.
An excellent track with toilet facilities at Foster, Fish Creek, Meeniyan, Koonwarra, Stony Creek and Leongatha.
You could start in the larger center of Leongatha and hire a bike and see the beautiful, organically inspired township of Koonwarra. There are some up market boutiques, cafe, coffee shop, produce store and a great organic cooking school here too.
Stop and have something to eat and drink at any of the cafes in Meeniyan along the way or enjoy some of the unique and interesting shops like Laceys Jewellery and Ten Rooms Souvenirs, Homeware and Clothing Store. Take some time in the Meeniyan Art Gallery too.
Go through Fish Creek and stop for a meal at the Pub, or snack in one of the nice cafes there.
When in Foster (which is another larger town), have a massage or beauty treat, see the museum and library, visit the shops and have a coffee and cake in the bakery.
In some spots along the trail you can see views of Wilson's Promontory and Corner Inlet. Natural flora lines the trail for much of it's journey and provides a haven in summer and privacy, micro-climates and wind protection in the winter months.
Take A Sailing Tour, Go Abseiling or Rock Climbing
