Fish Creek...

Fish Creek is located on the way to Wilsons Promontory. When traveling from Melbourne, drive along the South Gippsland Highway and turn right just past Meeniyan. Follow the directions to Wilson's Prom until you see the sign posts to Fish Creek. Being approx.165 km south-east of Melbourne, it's a comfortable 2 hour drive which makes Fish Creek a popular destination and day trip.

The Fish Creek Township - As well as a Mobil Service Station, General Store, Hardware Supplies,  a Nursery And Fishing Shop, the Fish Creek Pub, One Fish Furnishings, The Orange Roughy Restaurant, Primary School, Fire Station, Wineries, other specialty shops and several Art Galleries you'll find a nice range of accommodation places to choose from.

The township has mainly permanent residents, but the population swells over the holiday seasons with tourists and day travelers.

The beach at Sandy Point or Waratah Bay is only 18 kilometers away and Tidal River on Wilson's Prom is a pleasant 60 kilometers drive.

Celia Rosser Art Gallery - This luxurious new art gallery was opened at the end of 2007 and is already making a name for itself with both its unique display of botanical art and the food served in The Banksia Cafe which is situated at the entrance of the gallery. Popular with bus tours, art lovers, tourists and locals, I've heard the meals are excellent and the atmosphere delightful.

Fish Creek Fun Festival - This terrific Fun Festival is organized each March and features an art Show that is open daily from 10am - 4.30pm. See what Fish Creek and the surrounding area looks like through the eyes of these unique artists who work with different types of media.

Holiday Accommodation - You'll find a variety of holiday accommodation, from Luxury Rental Houses and Bed And Breakfast Lodges to Caravan Parks and Motel Units.
